Alaska Native Art On Display   Slideshow

The Charlotte Jensen Native Arts Market takes place yearly, during the last week of February and Fur Rondy. Alaskan Native artisans from all over the state set up shop in the sprawling Dimond Center mall. Rows of tables stretch the entire length of the mall with hundreds of participants selling diverse types of Alaskan Native art. This art show represents many tribes and villages across Alaska. The show's particpants often have work in major collections, like the Smithsonian. A true collector of Alaskan Native art would be wise to fly to Alaska for this event alone. Rarely do collectors and curators have a chance to talk to so many artists and buy directly from the artists themselves.

This art market is a yearly art sale from statewide Alaskan Native artisans.
